Compassion and commitment to the community

Our ethos is to provide the highest level of Therapeutic Care to give our young people the best possible chance of developing into happy, secure, and confident adults. They deserve a bright future.

Our aim is to provide essential children’s services, with a dedicated team offering therapeutic support with a family approach, rather than a business. To achieve this, we intend to help nurture young people aged between 10 and 18 years old with complex needs and or challenging behaviours, by providing stable, effective placements for young people whilst endeavouring to provide a therapeutic and trauma-informed environment in which all young people can feel safe and appreciated, and to provide them with the tools and confidence to develop their lives. We view residential care not as a last resort, but as a valuable option for some young people who have had painful experiences of family life. Children in care are still children.

Our Community

We are striving to provide excellent residential care and education for children and young people. Our well-trained and dynamic team aim to provide a dedicated and professional support service with competency and a versatile attitude; they are here to provide young people with a safe, caring community within which they can thrive and learn to build positive relationships.

Child Centered Care

We aim to achieve this by ensuring that we design and operate inclusive services for young people and children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), empowering them to make their own choices and decisions wherever possible. To support us, we work and train with +ProActive Approaches and implement the ‘House Model of Parenting’ methodology across our homes.

The philosophy behind +ProActive Approaches is one of understanding, empathy and adopting a child-centred, pro-active mindset in relation to potential behaviours of concern. Our goal at Aasra Care is to enhance the quality of life for everyone with a compelling emphasis on the benefits of healthy, therapeutic relationships. We do this by delivering trauma and research-informed care with a strong focus on reducing restrictive practices and restraint (#AimingForZero).

Employment

We offer contracted employment and professional training programmes. These can be personalised and tailored to maximise support for those who require a helping hand. We offer continued support and development to create childcare professionals with career goals.
