Compassion and commitment to the community

Our Ethos and Aims

Our ethos is to deliver the highest standard of therapeutic care, giving young people the best possible opportunity to grow into happy, secure, and confident adults. Every child deserves a bright and hopeful future, and we are committed to helping them achieve it.

Our aim is to provide essential children’s services through a dedicated team that delivers therapeutic support with a family‑focused approach, rather than a business mindset.

We nurture young people aged 8 to 18 with complex needs or challenging behaviours by offering stable, effective placements within a therapeutic and trauma‑informed environment. Here, every young person can feel safe, valued, and supported, while gaining the tools and confidence to shape their future.

We believe residential care should never be seen as a last resort, but as a positive and valuable option for young people who have experienced painful family circumstances. Above all, we recognise that children in care are still children, deserving of compassion, opportunity, and hope.

Our Community

We are committed to providing excellent residential care and education for children and young people. Within our homes, every child is supported by a well‑trained and dynamic team who bring dedication, professionalism, and compassion to their work.

Our care is rooted in a therapeutic ethos, with in‑house therapy integrated into daily routines to help children feel safe, valued, and understood. We uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and governance, ensuring that every child’s well‑being is protected.

We encourage children to thrive not only within our homes but also in education, activities, and the wider community, building resilience and positive relationships. Our staff receive ongoing training and professional development, ensuring that the support we provide is consistently of the highest quality.

Together, we create a caring community where children can grow in confidence, develop their sense of identity, and prepare for a positive future.

Child Centered Care

We aim to achieve this by ensuring that we design and operate inclusive services for young people and children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), empowering them to make their own choices and decisions wherever possible. To support us, we work and train with +ProActive Approaches and implement the ‘House Model of Parenting’ methodology across our homes.

The philosophy behind +ProActive Approaches is one of understanding, empathy and adopting a child-centred, pro-active mindset in relation to potential behaviours of concern. Our goal at Aasra Care is to enhance the quality of life for everyone with a compelling emphasis on the benefits of healthy, therapeutic relationships. We do this by delivering trauma and research-informed care with a strong focus on reducing restrictive practices and restraint (#AimingForZero).

Employment

We offer contracted employment and professional training programmes. These can be personalised and tailored to maximise support for those who require a helping hand. We offer continued support and development to create childcare professionals with career goals.
