Creating a Home at Aasra Care

At Aasra Care, we recognise the importance of providing a warm, safe, and comfortable home for our young people. We aim to nurture and plan within this space in the way a family would.

A home at Aasra Care is filled with the everyday touches that make children feel secure and valued: a garden to relax and play in, school photos on the shelves, cherished books on the bookshelf, and toys or gadgets in the living room to enjoy. Each young person has a bedroom they can personalise, creating a private space where they feel safe and at ease. We also value mealtimes together, a chance to cook, bond, and share stories about their day at school, as well as their hopes and plans for the weekend.

Abacus House, opened in 2023, can accommodate up to two children or young people of any gender, aged 8 to 18 years (on admission), who may be experiencing social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties alongside challenges with their mental health.

The home is decorated in a contemporary style, creating a warm and welcoming environment with solid, comfortable, and attractive furnishings. Equipped with modern appliances and study resources, Abacus House is designed to be both practical and desirable, offering young people a space where they can feel at home. Rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2024, Abacus House exemplifies our highest standards of care, support, and commitment to the well‑being of the children and young people we serve.

Brackets House opened in 2024, and provides accommodation for up to two children or young people of any gender, aged 8 to 18 years (on admission), who may be experiencing social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties alongside challenges with their mental health.

Brackets House has been thoughtfully refurbished to create a warm, homely atmosphere with a modern touch. The interiors combine comfort and practicality, with inviting décor, sturdy furnishings, and spaces designed to feel both safe and welcoming. Young people benefit from access to study resources and everyday amenities that support learning, independence, and personal growth. The home also features its own private garden and decking area, offering a calm outdoor space for relaxation, play, and reflection. Every aspect of Brackets House has been designed to provide stability and a genuine sense of belonging. Rated Good by Ofsted in 2024, Brackets House reflects our commitment to delivering consistent, high‑quality care and support for the children and young people we serve.

Opened in 2025, Circular House provides accommodation for up to three young people aged 8 to 18 who may be facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, including mental health needs. Unlike our smaller homes, Circular House has been designed with additional space and specialist facilities to meet a wider range of needs.

The home features bright, modern interiors with durable furnishings, comfortable communal areas, and dedicated study spaces to support education and personal development. A standout feature of Circular House is its luxury therapy room, offering a calm and professional environment for therapeutic work. The property also benefits from a private garden and decking area, giving young people a safe outdoor space to relax, play, and reflect. Circular House is centered on fostering a secure, inclusive atmosphere where young people feel supported and valued. Rated Good by Ofsted in 2025, it demonstrates our commitment to consistent quality care and positive outcomes.

Dimensions House is a specialist solo placement home, designed to provide focused care for a single young person aged 8 to 18 who requires tailored support for social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Newly registered in 2025, the home offers a contemporary and welcoming environment, with modern décor, everyday appliances, and comfortable living spaces that promote stability and belonging. A private garden with decking provides a safe outdoor area for relaxation and play, while the homely atmosphere ensures the young person feels secure and valued. We are currently awaiting our first Ofsted rating. In the meantime, Dimensions House is committed to upholding Aasra Care’s high standards, offering a nurturing environment where individual needs are met with compassion, consistency, and professional care.
